I met my husband in college (Upsala College in East Orange - he is from Toms River, NJ) and after we graduated we went to Idaho where he pursued a Masters Degree at Idaho State University. We were only going to stay two years, but fell in love with Idaho life and all the incredible outdoor adventures. We have been in Idaho ever since (we'll be married 30 years this summer.) We live in Boise where he is the principal of Boise High School. We have two incredible adult kids, a beautiful daughter who graduated from the University of Utah on a full ride scholarship to play volleyball (she inherited her 6 foot height from her dad). She is now taking a couple of years to be a white water river guide in the summer and a ski instructor at Jackson Hole, Wyoming in the winter. Next year, she will pursue her passion to be an environmental lawyer and attend law school. Our handsome son is a senior at St. Martin's College in Washington where he received a baseball and academic scholarship. He is studying secondary education.
As for me...I was in retail management for 10 years as an assistant buyer then store manager...exciting, but not very rewarding. I actually found my calling as a teacher and have enjoyed that for 21 years. I just completed a Master's degree in Educational Technology and am helping other teachers incorporate technology into their curriculum.
For fun, my husband and I take long mountain bike rides, ski, and take as many private white water adventures as we can. Idaho is a beautiful statewith so much to do. If any of you get close to Boise, Idaho...come for a visit.
